While some are completely terrified at being on stage, it really doesn’t bother me too much – that is once I get started. I have been on stage many times in my lifetime. I have done church programs and plays. I have also been the keynote speaker at some women’s conferences. I guess being on stage has much to do with your personality. I am not a show-off or need to be seen – at all. I just feel like the times I was asked to speak – I did have something to share.
I thoroughly enjoy speaking to a group when I can feel their attention and hanging on all the words. It’s a very satisfying feeling. If I can share my experiences, failures, and my wins to help others – it is so very worth it.
I’ll share one of my speaking engagements with you – just an overview of. It was several years ago; I got to speak at a women’s conference in Ohio. There were several sessions during the weekend event. One of my seminars was about the heart – spiritual not physical. I took the ladies on a journey through their “Heart House” and talked about the cobwebs and cluttered closets of things we hide from view. We spoke about how all of that affects the way we serve God and others. It was grand.
