Quandary…

There seems to be a bit of a problem with this prompt. I mean to pick “one” favorite season is difficult, to say the least. Each one holds a special place in my heart.

Spring brings newness of life. Trees waking from their winter’s nap. Bird’s filling the air with song and flowers making their debut into the warm sunlight.

Summer boasts its arrival by showcasing the trees in full splendor. The smell of freshly cut grass fills the air. Rivers, lakes, and ponds are teaming with life.

Fall brings in the majesty of color that can only be made by the creator himself. Nature prepares for a well needed rest. The animal kingdom scurries about gathering food for the dark days ahead. Crackling fires and cozy sweaters indicate a bigger change in on the horizon.

Winter is announced in a display like none other. The white blanket of snow that covers everything, grants the appearance of purity. The quietness brings peace and calm to a weary world. Generosity is displayed effortlessly. Family and friends draw close.

Then the whole lovely sequence replay’s itself over and over again. I guess that at my age – I’m grateful that there are still seasons that I can I can depend on to bring me peace and pleasure. So, simply saying there isn’t one season that is my favorite- they all have their place. We are most blessed with each day we have to take it all in.
