What activities do you lose yourself in?
That activity would be writing. When the scene is set properly, of course. That means in a coffee shop with smooth jazz music playing, and hot coffee at my side. I must have my favorite pen in hand. Oh, by the way, I’m a pen snob. I won’t, can’t, refuse to write with just any ordinary pen – it must be my favorite kind of pen, and lined paper. Then the stage is set and the words can flow.
It’s such an amazing thing that happens. When my heart and head get on the same page – it’s like magic happens. Words flow down my arm to my hand and appear on the paper. I see the images as I write. It’s like I’m immersed directly in that world. By the time I look up, hours have passed by and my coffee cup is empty. What a wonderful way to get lost!
Finding that thing that you can lose yourself in – isn’t an easy task. Well, I’m sure there are plenty of negative things you can lose yourself in – but the ones that can make a difference seem to be a bit more elusive. Sounds like it would be worth the time to search!

I can only write on lined paper too, and while I’m not a pen snob, I have difficulties writing with certain kinds of pens.
