In the stillness of the morning

As the day begins to wake

The birds sing their song of joy

The trees stand proud and sure

As the sun makes its appearance

And the land lets out a yawn

A new day we are given

A chance to do something good

Whether a great feat or a gently smile

It’s not a measurement or a competition

It is the act of kindness that spreads the love of God

We must take each new day fresh and clean
