There are times when I write on my “to-do” list, “Big Plans for the Future.” Unfortunately, that usually causes me to stress about how and when those plans are going to come to reality. It is at that moment, that I realize that I need to stop worrying about how or when these “Big Things” will happen and just focus on living in the moment. So, I decided to share that with you.
There are times in our lives that all we see is a big mess. We don’t see a purpose or a plan. Everything we attempt just explodes in our face. How can anyone say that God is in control of my life and my journey- when all I see is chaos. However, that is where we are wrong. Just as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
There are two key aspects we need to focus on. The first being “He” God is the one doing the action. It’s not our job. Our job is to listen and follow. The second aspect is to remember the verse states – in His time. We are an impatient people and want answers and direction, right now. We want problems fixed with no working through them.
How are we to learn from our mistakes or misdirection if everything is made better with a click of God’s finger. The simple answer – we won’t.
God knows us! He knows the purpose for our lives. There are things we need to walk through to understand God’s faithfulness, his provision, and his timing. If we had all the answers – we wouldn’t need our creator. He does know our beginning to end.
Take heart my dear friend. You are a beautiful creation of God. He has a specific thing for you to do. It is our job to trust him to show us the way. So, my advice to you is…
Enjoy the journey!
Listen for God’s direction!
Fulfill your purpose!
This is what I would put on my “To-Do List!”
