If money wasn’t a concern, I would run a coffee shop for free. It would be a comfortable place for people to come, relax, and unwind from the daily grind (pun intended). Smooth jazz playing in the background and the smell of really good coffee filling the air would be my happy place. I’d want walls filled with books for people to share. The chairs and table need to be a mismatched – really eclectic. I’d offer simple pastries and cookies. We all know coffee is even better when there is something to dip in it. I would like twinkle lights all over the place and greenery draping down the sides of the bookcases. The center piece would be a great fireplace with a river stone hearth. In front of the fireplace there should be huge bomber leather chairs that will give you a big hug when you sit down. I can see and feel this place. Oh, what a wonderful place it would be to work in that atmosphere.
I believe that everyone needs to fine their happy place. Life is so busy and hectic. We don’t get away enough to keep our brains from overloading. When we get to that “red zone” and we loose it – we are not good to be around. If you are treading too close to overwhelmed – step back – take a breath, and find your HAPPY PLACE! Once you recharge your body, mind, and soul – you then can take on the next challenge life throws your way!
