That is a very difficult question to answer. I really don’t want anything named after me. I’m not trying to be overly humble – just truthful. Things invented should be named after their inventor. Stars are named for the person who found them. I just don’t have anything like that – so, I am happy just being me.
Fame is fleeting. A good name is to be cherished. If I live up to be the best LaDonna I can be – then my legacy will speak for itself. I won’t need something named after me – my name will live in the memory of those lives I’ve touched with my smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand. I choose to just to be me!
Oh, something just came to mind as I was pondering what I had written. One thing that could have my name is my “laugh.” You heard me right. If you ask anyone I know what the “LaDonna laugh” is they will respond immediately with “a snort.” I have met a few others along my journey with the same laugh, but I’d claim that to be named after me – “The LaDonna Laugh!” Great! I like it! I claim it as my own!!! Sorry the rest of you snorting laughter people – its mine!
