Are you superstitious?
Just like the old Doris Day song, “Whatever Will Be, Will Be” that’s my motto. Life is far too full to be worrying about what will or won’t happen if I do this or that. That’s not living in my opinion. How can I enjoy all the pleasures life has to offer if I am walking around with a cloud over my head and fear that controls my life?
As I think about the word “superstitious” and its meaning. I believe it’s simply boiled down to not having faith and trying to control situations for a better outcome. I believe that if I truly want a better outcome for my life – then I must trust in God. Know without doubt that He will lead and protect me. Does that mean bad things will never happen – of course not. There are other forces in play that cause pain in my life. I have lived long enough to see that those bad things usually turn into stepping stones for me to learn from. Unfortunately, many times I fail to learn and am doomed to repeat a situation until I get it straight. Life would move along much smoother if I’d just grasp it the first time around.
I don’t want fear to control me. I choose to let each day bring me joy! So what will you choose? Hum?
