Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

Being patriotic to me is more than words. It’s action. It’s a feeling that wells up inside of you when you see the flag or hear the National Anthem. Even though our history is being erased bit by bit, the fact still remains that we have been through so much to get to where we are today. It’s true our past holds many things for which we should not be proud of, but isn’t it learning from our mistakes that’s important? It’s a part of growing? How can we continue to stand strong when the pillars of our history is being hacked away? I consider myself blessed to be an American, living in the Land of the Free. It’s more than pride. It’s thankfulness too! So, am I patriotic – I think so!
