As I was surfing the web this morning, there was one constant theme in almost everything I read. People are at a breaking point. They are trying to hold on to what they deem as normal, when in fact there is completely no normal to be found. I also sensed a lack of drive. People are saying that they are just trying to do the best they can with what they have been dealt. However, if I remember correctly, we are in charge of how we handle situations. We can chose to be down, defeated, and thinking all is lost. Thankfully, we can also choose to see the good in this situation. People are trend setters – right? Then – stand up and decide to change the negative flow. Life is not perfect, but it never was, so take a deep breath and be a game changer today!
It’s understandable that things are tight. Trying to teach children at home, when you are not “the teacher” has to be overwhelming. Store shelves are getting lean. The list can continue, but try not to focus all your energies on that today. Instead dig down deep and find that person who says, “I can do this!” Remember when you didn’t let situations get you down and by your own perseverance you made things happen? Find it again! Things may never become the normal we are used to living. So let’s prepare for the next season of life with gusto. Kick that drive back into gear and see where it takes you.
Thoughts for Action:
Things are strange right now. Human contact is minimal. So remember what pen and paper looks like? Sit down and write some letters to family, friends, or even people like your hair dresser. They will be thrilled to get actual mail that encourages them and you will be doing something positive. It may seem little, but the ripple effect could be awesome. Give it a try!
