It seems that the word “change” is quite a dreadful word. The mere sound of it creates upheaval in my spirit. However, on the other hand it can bring excitement as something new is about to happen. Certainly, in this difficult year of 2020, we are learning to deal with change. Some events may be good, while others leave us feeling overwhelmed.
For example, I drove to my favorite coffee shop to see that the hours had been shortened due to someone of the staff having Covid. No coffee for me. That was sad and a change I did not like very much. Then going to the grocery store in need of bathroom necessities to find the shelves barren. The list can continue for sure. It’s rather disheartening to drive by businesses that are gone. The lights out. The parking lot empty. Once there was a hustle of life, now it’s like a desert. It is becoming the new norm. How will we live this new life?
Living in such a rapid changing world is difficult at best. There isn’t guidelines to teach us what to do. We are learning how to live one day at a time, actually, one moment at a time. The fact is, we are strong people. We have lived through so many hard times – and we bounce back. Don’t lose hope. Wake up each day with determination as your driving life force. As I have said before, the sun will rise tomorrow. You will have things you need to do. People will be depending on you for something. Help! Love! Be there in the moment! Encourage others by believing there is hope yourself.
Change is inevitable. Roll with it! You got this! I believe in you!!
