Changes – they are inevitable!
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
We tend to be a very fickle people. We want things better than they are, but that requires change. Unfortunately, change is usually a bad word. It disrupts our routine, our comfort zone, our familiarity. It throws us into uncharted waters, where we fumble about because it is new. So, how do we survive this inevitable thing called change? Obviously, there is no clear cut answer, but to be fluid and roll with it.
What is fluid? Well, think about it. When we experience some different, we tense up and become rigid – right? Well, a secret to enduring change is to be fluid, let the circumstance just flow and you will be more likely to make it through. Also, when we are fluid or willing to learn of this new change, we can make the transition much quicker. Now – more than ever in our lives are we in need of flexibility. Our lives are changing with every tick of the clock. What we knew as normal – no longer exists.
Every great change in history has happened just like this – fast and furious changes. The fact is, we as God’s creation has always learned and took a great step forward. What seems like chaos and tragedy is growing pains. It is propelling us to the next level. So, I encourage each and every one of you to be fluid. Learn to relax and take things one at a time. That concept will never change. The other thing that you can always be sure will never change is that the God of the universe, maker of our souls will NEVER change. He is constant and sure.
Prayer:
Father God, please help me not to stress over things I can’t fix. I know things change every day, but you know the plans and you are faithful. Help me to be fluid and to trust your leading.
Thoughtfulness Action:
Change is happening – look into your lives – what things has happened to bring you joy? What things can you do to help others in their changes? Today, come along side someone who is stress and help them to feel the fluidity of God’s Great Grace. Be the peaceful waters in someone’s life. You will be the blessed one!
