2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline”
As we all know life is different right now. It is full of uncertainty and honestly – fear. So are we just supposed to cower in a corner somewhere and wait till the “all clear” is given. I should say not! We may be stuck in our homes (for our own protection) but it does not stop our effectiveness. If we allow the fear to overwhelm us, then this time that we have been given is wasted. I, for one, do not waste this precious time. Especially, if I can be used by God in some extraordinary way.
Each morning grants us a clean slate and new opportunities. Look at your friend list on Facebook, have you checked in on them? Have you left them a little funny to make them giggle? Being used by God comes in many different forms. It’s not just a preacher or missionary. In fact, God has given you everything you will possibly need to make an impact on those around you. Think outside the box. Do something for someone that is totally you! The very Spirit of God gives us power. Why not use it! I challenge you to be the hands and feet of God today!
Prayer:
Father God, sometimes I let the fear and storms push me around. I know you are not the maker of fear. Please grant me the sound mind, the strength, and the power to do your work. Make me aware of the opportunities that present themselves on a daily basis – even if they may seem mundane. Use me I pray!
Thoughtfulness Action:
The situation we find ourselves in today or any day really – look around you. What is right in front of you? How can you effectively boost someone today? It doesn’t need to be extraordinary or expensive – it could be a smile or a word of prayer. It really doesn’t matter – just act.
