Watching the television,
Reading the newspaper,
Listening to the radio,
Surfing the net,
No matter what … there is tragedy.

Lives of people in despair,
Pain, crisis, families torn apart,
Wars and rumors of war
Lost and lonely people,
No matter what…there is tragedy.

Where is our hope?
Where are the rainbows?
Where are the salt and the light?
Will no-one stand for what is right?
No matter what…there is tragedy.

My God is alive and well,
His banner still waves,
He has a purpose and a plan,
Will we step up and hold the torch?
