Morning Coffee

There’s nothing like Morning Coffee…
It hot, bold, and refreshing.
Some days, I can’t wait till the perking is done.
Other days, I really don’t have a desire for it.
I wonder why such a difference there is.
I am the same person.
A comparison in my devotional life, I see.
The Word of God is hot, bold, refreshing… for sure.
There are days when I can’t wait to see what the pages have for me.
Unfortunately, there are also days when I really don’t desire it.
How sad.
Morning Coffee makes me smile.
The Word of God gives me light.
I can have them both,
And that would be a delight.
