This statement is easier said, than lived out, especially at this moment in our history. As we are all “Safer At Home”, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I know many are ready to get back to normal. We are so used to doing what we please, when we want to, and how we want to at any time. However, we are not able to do whatever right now, no dinning out, no nail salon, no hair dresser. We are basically prisoners in our homes. It is just overwhelming – if we choose to let it take us to that very frustrated place.
I wish to redirect your thoughts. We have been given a chance to do things we have wanted to for so long, but never had the time. We get to stay up late, and sleep late in the morning. We can stay in pj’s all day if we want to. All of this is possible right now. That is a gift.
For example I have…
- A deep Spring clean in all parts of my house – I did.
- Clean out every closet and dresser – I did.
- Put items on Posh – I did.
- Make masks for times I get to go out – I did.
- Work on my Website – work in progress.
- Write everyday – work in progress.
- Stay in contact with my family – texting and FaceTime is awesome.
- A new app for me to read to my grandchildren – so cool.
- Baking and trying new recipes – so so.
- Growing out my own natural nails – 7 good ones -3 not so good.
- Spending time with my husband – talking!
- And lots more, but I don’t want to bore you.
Actually, as awful as this pandemic is, it has been a sweet repose for me to catch up on lots of things. I had the virus. It was bad and scary, but I survived. So I choose to be thankful for the good. I pray for the sick and those working on the front lines to help us all. If you can – thank someone who is working to keep you safe. We are in this together and we need to encourage each other.
